I love Jon as the Doctor. But seeing Troughton stroll back in and imo basically steal the show back right from under Pertwee's "mighty nose" was just awesome.

Love this story. It's my favourite out of all the multi-Doctor stories. As a kid I didn't get to watch it on it's first broadcast (suppose mum thought I was too young or something) but in the years that followed I'd seen bits and bobs on it in The Doctor Who Monster Book and some other magazines (World of Horror etc.) and caught some brief clips of it on shows such as Blue Peter and that Whose Doctor Who thing, all of which greatly intrigued me.
I finally caught up with The Three Doctors when it was repeated as part of The Five Faces of Doctor Who run thing on BBC 2. And I wasn't disappointed. A great, jolly fun old romp - yeah, I guess some of the effects and stuff were a bit ropey and it looked a little cheap in places (the Gel Guards didn't quite live up to my expectations), but it was all about The Doctors wasn't it really and Pertwee, Troughton and Hartnell all got to shine brightly (though Trout maybe shone a little more brighter lol) Loved all the bickering and rivalry between the Doctors. Even the Brigadier and Benton seemed to get more to do in this . And mustn't forget Omega what a great "villain" he was. A magical little celebration.
Anyway, below is one of my (many) favourite little bits from it, the Time Lords watching a B&W clip of the Trout on the screen.
For years I believed that was a clip from an episode of The Macra Terror thanks to DWM.

The gel guards are pretty laughable and it loses points for portraying the Brigadier as a complete imbecile.
Whilst it was great to see Pat back I just wish it was in a better story.
It’s not awful though.

Great classic. Loved the banter between Patrick Troughton and Jon Pertwee and William Hartnell was great despite his reduced role.
