I can't remember the year (early 90's), but JP did a one-man show discussing his life and the evening I attended in St Albans was I think his first in the tour. The first forty five minutes just about covered his life until 1939 and the start of WW2 and it was fascinating with so much name dropping. The second half skated fairly quickly over the 60's and of course landed on Dr Who. Most of the audience was of the Dr Who age and he acknowledged this. He then finished off with dear old Worzel but that was it. The Q&A session afterwards of course majored on Dr Who, with one lag asking about which button did what on the TARDIS console, or some inane question (groans from the audience) which was handled with supreme grace I remember, but the other questions were enthusiastically answered. I came away wanting FAR more and wish the sessions had lasted longer Got to say that watching this era of the show now I want to read his biographies (I have the first Tom Baker one which I enjoyed). Wonderful actor and person in my opinion. 76 is no age to pass away these days but all I can say again is 'Thank You!'

I went to a DWAS Convention in 1995, the year before he passed away. I paid to have this pic taken with him.. His back was acting up, so he was sitting down a lot.. I didn't know The Doctor had fitted carpet in the console room... PS/Edit: As a kid, Perters Doctor was the only one I wanted to be a an assistant/companion too. Or maybe I wanted to get closer to Jo Grant

It also got me thinking that we've all 'known' each other a long time through here and Mondas etc, but don't really know what we each other look like. Be nice to have a specific area of the site for uploading a pic or two of ourselves so we can see who we're chatting with.

Well, that pic was taken almost 30 years ago, I don't think I look like that anymore lol
