Three page comic strip in Radio Times April 1971: (Claws of Axos referred to as Vampire from Space). What utterly glorious artwork - if only the actual TV version of this tale was anywhere near as good! Thanks for posting.

I used to dislike Colony in Space- it's the weakest serial of Season 8 and to me, it resembled an Outer Space Western (I don't really like Westerns) concerning the plight of settlers vs the mining corporation but nowadays, I don't mind it so much. The Third Doctor's first trip into space looks cheap but means well - Malcolm Hulke has a pop at both colonialism and capitalist greed. Plus, I quite like Helen Worth's plucky character, Mary Ashe and the way she befriends Jo. The original Target novelization was renamed 'Doctor Who And The Doomsday Weapon' and had one of the best covers of the whole range. 7/10

Always the actors thought of this early 70's show as 'for children!' NO IT BLOODY WASN'T!!! - at least not by then...
I don't remember this and shall be watching it this next weel.
