Stories that they worked on - either individually or together:"The Time Meddler" (Tosh) - Wiles trailing Lambert "Galaxy 4" (Tosh) - Wiles trailing Lambert"Mission to the Unknown" (Tosh) - Wiles trailing Lambert"The Myth Makers" (Wiles & Tosh)"The Daleks' Master Plan" (Wiles & Tosh)"The Massacre" (Wiles & Tosh) "The Ark" (Wiles & Tosh) - Lloyd trailing Wiles. "The Celestial Toymaker" (Tosh) - Lloyd producing.Where did they go right?
And where did they go wrong?
Sure their (short-lived) era got hit hard in the wipings and Wiles was a reluctant producer - constantly at odds with William Hartnell.
But did they still leave a legacy worth remembering?
Please discuss the lives and work of John Wiles & Donald Tosh here....

Details of John Wiles' duration as producer according to the below articles - from about 11th June 1965 (resigned early January 1966) to 26th March 1966. "Around this time (June 11th 1965), incoming producer John Wiles began trailing Verity Lambert. Wiles would effectively take over the day-to-day duties from Lambert by the end of recording on The Time Meddler." www.shannonsullivan.com/drwho/serials/s.html"Meanwhile, it was around the time that production began on The Ark that Innes Lloyd started trailing Wiles. Although Wiles would still be credited as producer on The Ark, the transition would effectively be complete by the end of recording." www.shannonsullivan.com/drwho/serials/x.html

(Was always a bit muddy on who was in charge of what and when with these two.) Have tweaked the opening post/link descriptions to reflect your info.

The only footage I can find of John Wiles speaking - and it's a stupidly edited clip on Youtube... John Wiles - Panopticon '95Wish they had just posted the clip properly.

I was also interested to learn the below: "Maureen O'Brien had been issued a revised contract on July 30th, which included a BBC option for twenty episodes beyond The Myth Makers; she had scarcely contemplated the possibility that this might not be taken up. The actress was therefore shocked when, on September 3rd, she was informed that The Myth Makers would be her Doctor Who swansong." www.shannonsullivan.com/drwho/serials/u.htmlSo Vicki could have left at the end of The Ark instead.
