Thoroughly enjoying watching it again. Kevin Stoney was a master actor in roles like this and sidekick 'Pack-ah' is great here too. So glad I was around when first transmitted and even gladder ( ) that most of it's on DVD to enjoy. Such a long time ago now...

I bought a CD audiobook 'Cybertin' with Tenth Planet and The Invasion on audio with added narration in The Invasion by Frazer Hines. Thoroughly enjoyable even without the picture and again, Kevin Stoney is an absolute master of his acting craft in stories like this. A true classic still and to me ageless in so many ways!

P.S. I keep saying this, but Doctor Who was incredibly popular - more than ever - during the 70's so why the FECK were classics like this wiped or junked? I mean, were the BBC still using 2" tape in the mid 70's as I believed a slightly inferior? 1" tape (or was it the cameras?) was now being used? If the 2" tapes weren't needed, surely they could have been left alone? I'm a little confused and very angry still!

Never seen this pic before. Strongly suspect it's from The Invasion. Also looks like it's been colourised.

Another press cutting:
Wouldn't have surprised me if the Radio Times had spoiled too...
