One of my favourite stories of all time. I just loved the Sontarans from the get go. And great introduction story for Sarah too.
I also don't think there will ever be a Sontaran as perfect as Kevin Lindsay!

I find this story great fun. Remember watching this as a kid. Linx gave me the right creeps at the time. This is the one that has that comment describing the Doctor as ""a longshanked rascal with a mighty nose!" isn't it.

I agree that this story is great fun and from a personal perspective Episode 2 was the first Doctor Who I ever saw in colour.

A 10 for me.
Lockdown got very bleak for me during winter 2020.
Watching this story cheered me up immensely during that time. It's Pertwee clearly happily in his element with some of Holmes' best characters. For me there are few stories that capture the spirit of the show better than this one.

I really enjoy The Time Warrior - I remember watching it for the first time - in particular, the scene at the end of Part 1, when the Sontaran takes off his helmet, which really scared my younger sister. However, for me, Irongron and Bloodaxe steal the show. There's some very funny lines in this serial - my favourite being this exchange between the Doctor and Professor Rubeish: The Doctor: Look, will you excuse me? I've got to go and find a young girl. I'll see you later, I hope. Professor Rubeish: Young girl? I should have thought he was a bit old for that sort of thing. Epidode 4 of The Time Warrior contains Sarah Jane's line - "Look at that great spider!" - was she, in fact, looking into the future and somehow predicting the Third Doctor's demise? 8/10
