Not a very memorable story is it. It's more of a run of mini stories than a full adventure in it's own right. It does contain some memorable stories in it though.

They once considered adapting it for the big screen, apparently - a la "The Daleks" and "The Dalek Invasion of Earth"... I've read that!!! And yet, since then, "everybody" insists it was "The Chase" they were planning as the 3rd movie. ENOUGH with the Daleks, I say. "The Keys Of Marinus" immediately became a favorite of mine the first time I saw it. A 6-parter that wasn't boring, as it was like watching 5 short stories back-to-back. "The Key To Time" MANY YEARS early! But the Mary Tamm season had a MUCH-better ending, I think.
Whenever I see Francis De Wolff in anything, I think of him trying to RAPE Barbara in this. The frozen warriors, I suspect, inspired the Gundan Warriors in "Warriors' Gate". Again, "Marinus" HAD NEVER been seen in America when "Warriors Gate" aired here! I suppose one could say the best thing about this serial is what it inspired in MUCH-LATER stories.
