Episode 1 is not too bad, there are some nice shots of Concorde etc.
A few years ago I did a binge watch of the very worst Doctor Who stories and episode 2 has stuck in my mind as being the worst episode of Doctor Who ever transmitted from 1963 to 1989. Unfortunately I can't remember the reasons why.
Please don't make me watch it again!
3/10 overall (0/10 for episode 2).

I'd imagine it's to do with Kalid and the bizarre witterings that he mutters to himself when gazing into his crystal ball....on his own....for absolutely no reason. I'm an absolute lover of Season 19, this season and 18 are my favourites, but even I can't defend Time Flight, although I do find part one great fun. The Master's disguise as The Portreeve in Castrovalva worked really well and should have been left to just that story. Quite why The Master is dressed as Kalid in the first place, then appears to die at the end of Part Two before getting up from the floor and removing his costume, is a bizarre 'What the hell is that all about?!!' cliffhanger moment which surpasses the end of Dragonfire episode 1.

DWM, when it thought 'Time-Flight' coverage might shift a few more issues....

I'm still amazed that Peter Davison narrated the audio book for Time Flight.
Although the TV story itself does sound like it was good fun to work on with all the cast having a laugh together, he can't seem to find a good word to say about the story itself (which I can't blame him for).
So even though he does a great job of the narration, I can't help thinking "You can't stand this story" when I listen to it, which somewhat scuppers the enjoyment of the audio, lol.

Yeah, the first episode's ok-ish but after that it just nosedives into a sea of cheap mediocrity. Thought the camp cabin crew were a hoot but even they couldn't't save it.

Yes that was a shock they got him to narrate it. Can only assume they made him an offer he couldn't refuse lol. Haven't got round to listening to it yet. Hopelessly behind.

I guessed it was Anthony Ainley disguised as Kalid in episode one!!! So I was pleased to be proved correct in the final moments of episode two! I always assumed that his interference with the alien casket transformed him somehow rather than it just being a mask to confuse us the viewers as no one outside of The Doctor and his companions would have known who he was anyways! The Master's anger and disappointment with The Doctor's TARDIS console is taken one step further here than in Claws of Axos when the evil Time Lord whacks the door control pretty hard! JB

"Do you seriously believe that Victor Foxtrot got caught in some sort of time slip?"
Although rather silly and shabby, Episode 1 is still entertaining (it almost makes me nostalgic for the early '80s). Time-Flight starts well, with a nice simple idea (airliner and passengers transported back to prehistoric times*) and I like the scenes in and around Heathrow airport and aboard the Concorde, but that's about it. Strange to think that this adventure immediately followed the mighty Earthshock.
* Watch The Twilight Zone episode 'The Odyssey of Flight 33' (1961) - an airliner enroute to New York is transported back in time to the age of the dinosaurs. Cool episode.
6/10

Flight of the Darned The only thing missing was a reference to George Kennedy and AIRPORT '80: THE CONCORDE.
